Turkish Green Crescent Counselling Centers (YEDAM)
YEDAM provides free psychological and social support to individuals with addiction-related problems during both detoxification and recovery. Services are delivered by expert psychologists and social workers and are based on the YEDAM Model, which was developed through an analysis of international best practices and consultations with addiction specialists in Türkiye.
YEDAM supports individuals experiencing problems related to tobacco, alcohol, substance use, internet addiction, and gambling. Services include individual and group sessions, family counseling, and social support. In cooperation with other institutions, YEDAM also helps address challenges such as health insurance and unemployment. Through YEDAM Workshop, vocational training programs and long-term activities are offered to promote social reintegration and support lasting recovery.
Turkish Green Crescent Rehabilitation Centers
Turkish Green Crescent Rehabilitation Centers aim to address the physical, psychological, and social impacts of addiction, support post-detoxification treatment, and facilitate individuals’ reintegration into society as healthy and productive members. The Centers offer free, confidential, and voluntary residential rehabilitation services to individuals who have completed detoxification treatment and maintained at least three weeks of sobriety.
Throughout the rehabilitation process, clients participate in various workshops, including ceramics, computer skills, music, and gastronomy, as well as outdoor and social activities such as cinema, theater, nature walks, swimming, and cultural events. These activities are designed to restore life skills, encourage meaningful engagement, and prepare clients for life after rehabilitation.
In addition, vocational training programs and internship opportunities are offered to help clients develop professional skills and support their reintegration into the workforce. The overall goal is to prevent relapse by promoting effective use of free time, reducing exposure to high-risk environments, and strengthening vocational and social competencies. When needed, social and psychological support is also extended to family members as part of a holistic rehabilitation approach.
